When Using the Templates, Please Use the Following Standards |
- The signature used at the top left should not be removed nor can it be replaced by any other version of the signature.
- Please refrain from replacing the suggested color scheme of the templates or the fonts.
- The template layout should not be altered. This is so that users coming to the University’s web pages can have a clear understanding of where to find key navigation and content components as they move from site to site.
- It is recommended that you not use FRAMES in these templates. If you do use FRAMES, be sure to validate the code and use them properly.
- Link categories in the gray navigation bar below the banner should be one line only. If two lines are necessary for any item, then all links need to be two lines for the rollovers to work properly.
- For links used in the pull down menu at the right-hand side of the gray navigation bar, use the full pathname of the URL: <option value=”http://www.somelink.edu/”>Link Title</option>
|
- The vertical navigation rollovers on the left-hand side of the page are links internal to your website. Please refrain from using them to link to pages external to your site.
- The template package includes two examples of how to use tables to convey information in the content portion of the template web page. Copy and paste either of the tables into the content area. As with other components of the layout, please refrain from altering the tables.
- The University’s use of the Google search requires that the Google graphic be included. Please do not remove it.
- The Google/People search must remain in the blue footer on the left. The People portion of the search requires JavaScript to work properly. If you want to use the search on other pages of your site, just cutting and pasting the form will render the People search inoperable. Be sure to copy the JavaScript as well.
